Texas State's production of The Liar reimagined the show in a post-war 1950's France, focusing in on the idea of self-presentation and lies that skirt reality. I developed a tango with the character Philiste that was a fun, campy button to a silly fight sequence midway through the play.
I also led the understudies through our process - running lines, reviewing blocking, re-emphasizing acting notes from the director, and preparing them all to have to step in during tech week and performances if necessary.
